Suspect Fingered In Commuter Robberies

The so-called Pelham Prowler/Mamaroneck Marauder/Harrison Harrasser may have been collared. Pelham police nabbed 19-year-old New Rochelle man Olivier Famby on Friday after they found him sitting in a BMW with a gun at Pelham station, reports the Journal News.

Seven commuters have been robbed leaving their New Haven Line train stations in recent months.

Famby was arraigned Saturday and is being held without bail at the Westchester County jail.

Writes the Journal News:

Famby was sitting in a BMW at the Pelham train station when police were about to write a parking ticket and noticed him in the car. They then saw the handgun in the vehicle. The gun was found to have been stolen in Pennsylvania. It was unloaded and there was no ammunition in the BMW, authorities said.

Famby, a cab driver, had a suspended license, which is not good for a cab driver.

He has no prior convictions.
