Teen Bowling Tourney Strikes GCT

You can bowl in Port Authority, and for two days, ace teen bowlers could bowl in Grand Central too.

It was the Teen Masters Bowling Championship, held in Vanderbilt Hall, same place where the squash tournament takes place every year.

Writes Crain’s New York:

Eight teenagers are competing for an opportunity to win a big pay out in college scholarship funds. Mr. Beck’s organization Killer ‘B’ Promotions is giving away $100,000 this year, after having handed out $1 million over the past 15 years. The champion will receive $64,000, which goes directly to a college or university.

This is not the first intersection of bowling and Grand Central.  If ever you find yourself in Portland, Oregon, say hello to a dozen of my old college pals, and check out the bowling alley and lounge called Grand Central.
