Yes, Bike to Work Day was rained out last Friday, at least for me, so I dusted off the old Schwinn (it’s actually an old Trek, but we’re trying to dissuade bike thieves) Tuesday, and had a nice little ride to and from the train. Enjoying a San Francisco-esque hill wending downwards to the station, I made it in aboutĀ five minutes. Laboring uphill on the way home, it took a bit longer–but still much quicker than walking.

I liked it so much I overlooked my sore calves and rode again on Wednesday.

Perhaps the only downside is, there’s only room for about five bikes along an iron fence; if it were to fill up, you might be forced to lock up on the fence that sports the “No Bikes” sign. If only Mount Pleasant would give us a bike rack….
